A-Level Results 2023: Increase of Pupils Awarded Top Grades, and 79% Placed at First Choice University

This year, more than a quarter of A-levels (27.2%) have been awarded an A or A*, a record breaking result compared to any pre-pandemic year. However, the results also show a significant drop from last year (35.9%), amid the return to pre-pandemic era grading.

2023 University Destination Data, by Carfax Consultants

We are thrilled and so proud of the students we have worked with this year on the University Preparation Programme. The majority of them received offers from all 5 of their UK university choices as well as offers from US and European universities too. Once the exam results were in, Carfax Students secured places to study at Oxford, Imperial, London School of Economics, UCL, Kings College London, Durham, Exeter, York and St Andrews as well as IE, Les Roches, Reading, Dundee and Glasgow.
